Chief corporate affairs officer, Moderna
Moderna, one of the pharmaceutical companies working on a potential COVID-19 vaccine, hired Ray Jordan in June, but he was consulting for Moderna four months before he joined the company. Jordan reports to CEO Stéphane Bancel and is a member of Moderna’s executive committee. He has an impressive background holding prominent comms roles in the pharma industry.
Previously, he served as Amgen’s SVP of corporate affairs. While there, he led communications for an unprecedented six product launches over a six-year period. Before that, Jordan led communications at Johnson & Johnson for nine years, starting the company’s first blog and enhancing its social media use. All of this should come in handy as Moderna looks to launch its vaccine in the coming months.
